Former Australian captain and test player Ian Chappell is not impressed with the Pakistan performances in the recently concluded test series. Pakistan lost all three test matches despite playing absolutely brilliantly in the first game.

Chappell in his post-game review said that it was horrific performance by the Pakistani team. He said that after watching them fighting so hard in the first test and then going down this low in the next two was painful. Chappell pointed out on a lot of issues he noticed in the Pakistan side.

Chappell was talking to one of the sports correspondents of a famous sports website. Chappell said that the performance from the Pakistan side was poor after the first test. The Australians got a kick after they narrowly escaped a defeat in the first test. That performance from Pakistan did put Australia on the edge and to survive the humiliation Australia needed fight back which they made in the last two tests. Chappell said that he feels at Melbourne in the second innings Pakistan looked down and out.

They marked the start towards losing the series like they have in the second innings of the Melbourne test. Pakistan fielding in the second innings was horrific and they just looked totally lost in the center. The captaincy from Misbah was not up to the mark as well. Chappell said that this is not the best of cricket which Pakistan played. He said that Pakistan has a strange mechanism with which they work and play in cricket. Misbah is not leaving his job though had he been in the selection committee then the Sydney test would have been the last one for Misbah.

Chappell said that the fielding positions from Misbah were pretty defensive and this did not let his bowlers attack the Australian batsmen. But on the other side the bowlers too struggled which was pretty surprising to see. The pace and spin bowling both gave Pakistan nothing in the form of wickets.

Chappell said that Cricket Australia should tell the PCB that if Pakistan has to play like this they will not welcome them for test series again in Australia. It is totally some poor game show. Now that was a bit harsh. Already there is a lot of criticism made on the Pakistan team and now these words would hurt them more. Pakistan lost the series because their bowling failed. There was a good batting performance seen given by the Pakistani batters especially Azhar Ali. He played extremely well in the three test matches.
